What Is Laser Skin Resurfacing?

How Does Laser Skin Resurfacing Work?
When you have a more intense or deeper laser resurfacing session, you may be given a retinoid cream for a few weeks before your laser appointment. The retinoid helps prepare the skin for better results. Medication will be suggested prior to the treatment to help lessen any sensation for greater relaxation during your session. If your skin needs mild improvement, local anesthesia will be applied to numb treated areas where the laser will target. Throughout the procedure, you can relax in our treatment chair while the Alma ClearLift laser glides over your skin, directly targeting the specific surfaces for improvement. You will feel warmth from the laser, followed by cold air from the built-in cooling system. The laser energy works to eliminate damaged and dead skin cells while also stimulating new collagen growth. The Alma ClearLift tightens skin and smooths fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, neck, and chest. Without damaging the outer layers of your skin, the fractional, non-ablative laser addresses a variety of aesthetic concerns, including acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and redness.
